The Russel Hill Cancer Foundation

The Russel Hill Cancer Foundation was established to improve the health of our region through the support of cancer research, patient care initiatives and education.

The Foundation Provides:
• Financial support for bold, innovative cancer research
• Education information for cancer patients, their families, and the community
• Assistance for cancer patients in financial need

The Name:
In 1816 Lieutenant Colonel Albert Russel moved his family to Alabama. They settled on a 900 acre plantation west of Huntsville which was named "Russel Hill." This is the geographic location of the current Clearview Cancer Institute and the Russel Hill Cancer Foundation.

About The Foundation:
In May of 2006 a group of interested oncologists, local researchers, and interested citizens met to discuss ways of assisting regional cancer patients, their families, and the community. From this group meeting the Russel Hill Cancer Foundation was formed. Our Foundation is committed to improving the health of the region through cancer research, patient initiatives, and education.

As a 501 (c) (3 ) non-profit organization, the RHCF:
• Provides funding for innovative cancer research
• Promotes cancer education in the community
• Assists eligible patients with uncovered costs of treatment
• Supports the development of improved communication among healthcare providers

"Hope for tomorrow through support of research, patient assistance, and education" is a working theme in all our efforts!
